Propaganda Maps

Propaganda maps rely solely on distortion. They are a cartographic interpretation of individuals ideals and opinions. Often they relate to societal or political ideologies. This Propaganda map was created based on the views of Ronal Reagan during the Cold War. As you can see, humor is incorporated into these maps, along with some reality. The compass gives away the main idea here, with West labeled "ours" and the East labeled "theirs".  To some, this can be considered malicious. Not everything stated here is true, and parts of it can be interpreted as offensive.
