Classed Choropleth Maps are similar to choropleth maps, except these are divided into classes. There are a few things that can determine how to create the intervals on the map. They include equal steps, natural breaks, and quantities. As you can see from the images I have included, A map with only 4 classes is harder to distinguish than a map with 11 classes. The map I have chosen is a In terms of this map, classes help to distinguish the shading of the color, and lessen the range of the interval, which allows for a better interpretation of the value.
