Infrared Aerial Photo

Infrared Aerial Photos require a chemical emulsion to be applied to the film to create an image that is unique. These images can be used to identify changes over time, or even the health of Earth's vegetation. In this image, heathy vegetation is seen in areas of dark red, while unhealthy is lighter red, or a blue color. The aerial view helps to show what is happening on the surface of our Earth. Infrared can be sensitive to certain light. They require a special attention, however, with this special attention comes valuable information that cannot be seen in black and white, or colored photos.

The map I have included is an infrared photo from NASA, of New Orleans. Looking at the image, it is apparent that not all of their land is very healthy.
