Nominal Area Choropleth Maps

Source: http://www.mapsofworld.com/map-of-countries.html

Nominal Area Choropleth map are similar to other maps that use colors to represent data. However, this type of map does not have an order, because it is nominal. That is why many of these maps can use multiple colors. They are representing non-numerical data, so the color distinction is not important.

The map I have chosen is a map of the world with the countries all in different colors. These colors separate the countries, but they do not represent anything else- i.e. population.
