Planimetric maps are quite different then topographical maps. They do not show entire objects, but rather they portray the horizontal positions of features- such as geographic and natural features. The map featured above is displaying a city, showing the buildings in that area and different roads. These maps too are able to show elevation, however, they look much different than other maps.
